Was sick a few weeks ago, they put me on medication that I was not on. I had an asthma attack while admitted to the hospital it took them too long to get me a breathing treatment. Wouldn't go back and less it was an emergency if I can make it to University Hospital will never go back to South Point. Only if I'm dying will I go back.
When you are in pain and in desperate need of help, you expect that you'll be helped and served to the best of the institutions ability that you go to. I jumped through all the hoops, examined, unnecessary x-rays, and what do I get at the end? "I don't feel comfortable helping you." Can you imagine that? You get to the finish line to be told no and denied what you have won, all because the doctor doesn't feel "comfortable." If they didn't feel comfortable treating me, why did they act like they would help? They sure felt comfortable bilking my insurance with unnecessary bullshit.
The staff is very terrible. Nurses are rude and don’t attend to the patients. No one that works here cares about the patients
Southpoint hospital is the worse place you could take your love one. Don't do it unless you want them to go down hill. Very inexperienced doctors and nurses. The ombudsman does nothing with complaints. She's over ever one. She works on the nurses and doctors side. If she's the top person there. You know it only gets worse going up. She will not help you. Get an attorney if you ever take your love one there. If you want your love one to live you need to go there often, get a camera , an attorney, bring your bible. Awful hospital. Nurses
They will take forever to tell you they know nothing. They can only get one test done a day it seems in a way to run up your bill over time. Take your loved ones to main campus instead, you will most likely get better results there than at South Pointe.
They made a lot off of me, but after that visit they will get no more. I don't trust this institution, and even if I'm dying I won't be back.
